Grown in the Cederberg mountains north of Cape Town, rooibos thrives in dry air, sandy soil and long hours of sunlight. The Aspalathus linearis plant grows only in this region, nourished by its mineral-rich terrain. After harvesting, the fine red leaves are fermented and sun-dried before being blended with fruit and spices to create a warm, aromatic herbal tea.
