This week saw the glorious return of the London and Provincial Antique Dealers Association (or LAPADA)’s annual arts and antiques fair. Held in leafy Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair, the LAPADA arts fair is one of the most exclusive and prestigious events in the London art calendar.

Exhibitors, jewellers and artists display their works in a treasure trove of artifacts and incredible artistry. From more traditional canvases to truly contemporary works, the LAPADA fair attracts collectors and visitors from all over the world and is fast-becoming the premiere seasonal event for art experts and connoisseurs. This year, Newby Teas were the LAPADA art fair’s Official Tea Sponsors. As well as being served in the Brasserie, Newby Tea also adorned the shelves of the lavish yet vintage pop-up Mr Fogg’s Residence bar on the ground floor. A sumptuous love letter to a bygone era, this replica of Mr Fogg’s drawing room was bedecked with globe bars, original Victoriana and dapper chaps in waistcoats. Our old pals at Mr Fogg’s really know how to make an exquisite beverage.

As well as stocking the event with finest artisan teas, we also loaned a few pieces from the legendary Chitra Collection for an installation on the first floor. The Chitra Collection, the world’s most comprehensive privately-owned tea wares collection, is a lovingly curated spectacle which was perfectly suited to the LAPADA arts fair environment. A wonderful week spent in the company of some of the most beautiful cultural masterpieces in the world.
