What is rose tea?

Rosebud tea is one of the oldest floral tisanes in the world, and has been referenced in literature, music and art for centuries.

There are hundreds of rose varieties that are safe for human consumption, which is why roses are often used in kitchens, especially in Middle Eastern, Indian and Chinese cuisine.

Rose petal tea may have originated in China where it’s an important part of traditional medicine, known to help with stomach and digestive problems, fatigue and improving sleep.

Rosebuds contain high concentrations of vitamin C, iron, calcium, vitamin A and vitamin E. Rose infusions are also free from caffeine, sugar and calories.

What is Silver Needle Tea?

Silver Needle is a white tea from Fujian in China, the birthplace of white tea. The province remains one of the largest and most prestigious areas for producing this sought-after tea.

The name Silver Needle, or Yin Zhen in Chinese, refers to the silvery white hairs on the buds and the long thin shape of the dry leaf.

White tea is high in antioxidants and is said to be excellent at helping metabolise fat. Many claim that white tea consumption encourages healthy skin and fights signs of ageing.

The best Silver Needle tea leaves in particular are brimming with additional antioxidants known as polyphenols and theanine, which contribute to a healthy heart and can help reduce stress.
