The White Rose Tea Mocktail

The White Rose Tea Mocktail Recipe

Ingredients for 1 portion:

• 1tsp loose leaf silver needle tea
• 1tsp Persian Whole rosebuds
• 1 tbsp. Honey or Simple Sugar Syrup (mixture of 1-part hot water 1-part sweetener)
• Fresh Cherries (Optional)

Tools: Glass to serve

How to make our white tea based mocktail?

• Brew white tea in 150 ml of water at 80C for 5 minutes
• Brew rose buds in 150ml of boiling hot water for 5 minutes
• Strain the white tea and combine it with the brewed rose tisane
• Mix in sweetener and let the mixture cool
• Place ice cubes inside a glass
• Pour the tea mixture over the glass
• Add cherries and Serve

Silver Needle is a white tea from Fujian in China, the birthplace of white tea. The province remains one of the largest and most prestigious areas for producing this sought-after tea.

The name Silver Needle, or Yin Zhen in Chinese, refers to the silvery white hairs on the buds and the long thin shape of the dry leaf.

White tea is high in antioxidants and is said to be excellent at helping metabolise fat. Many claim that white tea consumption encourages healthy skin and fights signs of ageing.
