The young spring leaves in our Green Sencha have been steamed in the traditional Japanese style. This process prevents oxidisation and preserves the dark green colour and delicate taste of the flat, needle-like leaves. With its subtle hint of rice, Green Sencha is a multi-sensory embodiment of the Orient.

Terroir & Production

Zhejiang’s rolling hills and temperate coastal climate create ideal conditions for cultivating fine green teas. The region’s well-drained, mineral-rich soil and abundant rainfall encourage slow, even leaf growth. After harvesting, the leaves are steamed rather than pan-fired.
