Our preservation centre is now carbon neutral

By 2028, we aim to cut our emissions by 50% from our 2022 levels, working towards net-zero emissions. We're starting by focusing on energy efficiency and using 50% renewable power sources at our preservation centre in Kolkata, including installing solar panels. Plus, we're offsetting our emissions by investing in a Hydroelectric Power Project in Uttarakhand, India. Our carbon reduction plan is monitored and verified by our reliable partner, DNV.

How do you make tea sustainable?

Choose organic or pesticide-tested teas, and certified brands from the Ethical Tea Partnership for sustainable sourcing. Use loose leaves or pick biodegradable or home-compostable tea bags.
