Desert Chai is a comforting and indulgent blend made with Assam black tea and pieces of cinnamon, cardamom, and liquorice root. The addition of sweet vanilla and almond gives it a unique twist on this classic tea. Designed in collaboration with British designer Matthew Williamson, the caddy’s striking design, featuring the mighty leopard, adds a touch of adventure to your tea collection.

Terroir & Production

Cultivated in the lush plains of Assam along the Brahmaputra River, the tea grows in a region shaped by tropical heat, heavy monsoon rains and fertile alluvial soil enriched by Himalayan minerals. These natural conditions produce strong, full leaves with depth, ideal for blending. Created by Newby’s tea experts, the tea is carefully blended with vanilla, selected to integrate naturally with the character of the Assam leaf.
