About Gyokuro Loose Leaf Pouch 250g

A slightly sweet green tea with a mild finish, Gyokuro is a prized tea in Japan where it is known as 'jade dew'. A premium blend from our loose leaf tea pouch range.

Terroir & Production

Before harvest, the tea plants are shaded to limit sunlight, a practice that alters leaf development and concentration. The leaves are then carefully hand-harvested, steamed shortly after picking to halt oxidation, and rolled into fine, needle-like shapes. The finished tea is packed at our carbon neutral preservation and packing centre to preserve freshness and structure.
