Terroir & Production

Created by Newby’s tea masters, Muskani is crafted from an uncommon combination of black and oolong teas grown in Assam, in northeast India, near the Brahmaputra River. While the region is traditionally known for black tea, selected leaves are partially oxidised to produce oolong, adding a distinctive dimension to the blend. Shaped by low-altitude tropical conditions, intense heat, high humidity and monsoon rains, the fertile alluvial soil supports the production of full-bodied, malty teas. The leaves are handpicked during the second flush and processed using orthodox methods. The finished tea is packed at Newby’s carbon neutral factory to protect freshness and ensure consistency.
